About Proxy Accounts
-
The second way to access online library resources remotely is via proxy account. The library's proxy server now serves only as a backup to the VPN. Its capabilites are limited when compared to the capabilites of the VPN.
-
While the VPN provides access to many on-campus resources, the proxy server only provides access to library resources. Also, the proxy server is a much slower way of accessing library resources when compared to the VPN method.
