Uterine Contractions Vaginal Bleeding Rupture of Membranes ("water breaks") Home Instructions
  1. May have irregular contractions throughout duration of pregnancy.
  2. If contractions become regular or stronger:
  1. Come to hospital
  2. Do not eat or drink
  1. May have pinkish vaginal discharge (spotting) from exams.
  2. If bleeding is heavy or soaks through underwear, come to the hospital.
  1. May have sudden gush of fluid or watery discharge.
  2. Come to hospital as soon as possible
  1. Keep clinic appointment.
  2. Get plenty of rest.
  3. Come to hospital if you have:
  1. Headaches
  2. Blurred vision or trouble seeing.
  3. Abdominal (stomach) pain.
  4. Decreased fetal movement (baby not moving as much)
