Fetal Movement Intructions-2000
Instructions:
You are to lie down on your left or right side for 30 minutes. During this 30 minutes, count how many times the baby moves/or kicks. You want the baby to move at least 4 to 6 times.
If the baby does not move 4 to 6 times in 30 minutes, turn to your other side and count the baby's movement for another 30 minutes.
If the baby does not move 4 to 6 times in the next 30 minutes, you are to report to the labor and delivery unit located on the 4th floor of the hospital as soon as possible to have your baby evaluated by a doctor.
Do fetal movement counts 4 times a day: after breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before you go to bed at night.
Spectial Note:
If at any time you feel that your baby is not as active (decreased in movement) as it used to be; you are to come in to the hospital and see the doctor at once.
